I used this device daily for 10 weeks and found it to be effective. It does NOT provide an immediate result, nor does it give a "face lift" that is significantly noticeable. What it does do is TONE the facial muscles over time, providing it is used regularly as directed. The device is rechargeable, ergonomic and easy to handle and offers a timer that helps to regulate your movement during treatment. The conductivity gel that comes with the device is required so that you do not feel the microcurrent. NuFace recommends that you only use their conductivity product, yet I find it dries too quickly during the treatment and expensive for what it actually is. I use plain aloe vera gel and it is perfect, lasts through the treatment time and is non irritating to my sensitive skin. OK, so the process is to cleanse your face and dry it. I then apply a Vitamin C serum all over my face and wait a few minutes. Then I apply hyaluronic acid serum on nasal folds, wrinkles and lines followed by the aloe vera gel on my neck and face, but not the forehead. I begin the treatment on my neck, doing left then right sides. Same with the face, using the beginner AND advanced techniques shown on the video. Once that is done, I apply the gel to my forehead and finish the treatment. Because the skin on the forehead is thinner, I notice the micro current more and had to use a lower current in this area at first. Now I use full current without it bothering me. So after ten weeks, I see my jawline is more toned, less saggy. The appearance of nasal fold lines are definitely reduced!! I think the use of the hyaluronic acid is beneficial and the micro current helps it penetrate. Overall a very subtle change in my facial appearance, but definitely more toned. No, I do not see any lifting of the eyebrows or face. Daily use, for approximate 10-15 minutes per day, after 10 weeks I am pleased with the purchase. It requires a commitment. Based on what I've seen in 10 weeks, I believe that I will see further improvement with longer use. I am glad I purchased the device. It is expensive, so I would only recommend this if you are willing to give it the time on a daily basis. As for the gel, I feel it is overpriced and dries too quickly...yet a gel is needed to use the device. While NuFace does not recommend that you use anything else, I am using aloe vera gel and will continue to do so. It works for me and is less costly, less irritating.
It is disappointing that there is not a 60-90 day trial return policy on this as I do feel it takes that long to notice the subtle changes. After 25 days of use, I wasn't sure it was worth keeping. I'm glad I did get 60 days to allow to determine if it was effective.
